How to Make a Patch
Step 1 – Stitch the patch
Hoop a 4” x 4” embroidery hoop with DIME’s Heavy Duty Water Soluble Stabilizer and stitch your chosen patch design.
Step 2 – Remove stabilizer
Carefully remove the water-soluble stabilizer from the finished embroidery.
Step 3 – Add adhesive
Place Patch Attach with the rough side against the back of the patch.
Step 4 – Fuse
Press with a hot iron (wool setting) for 8–12 seconds.
Step 5 – Trim & peel
Allow to cool, then trim around the patch and remove the protective paper backing.
Step 6 – Apply patch
Position the patch adhesive side down on your garment or fabric.
Cover with a Teflon pressing sheet and press for 8–12 seconds.
Allow to cool completely before handling.
